DRS recognizes Security America in Charleston as an Exemplary Employer

The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) recognized Security America in Charleston as an exemplary employer and partner as part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month this October.
Security America has demonstrated excellence in its diverse hiring practices by creating an inclusive workplace, and DRS recognizes this organization for its positive contributions within our communities.
"Security America has been an excellent partner in providing employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The employer has been a cooperative partner in meeting job seekers’ accommodation needs and in helping to reduce job-related barriers. This organization has also participated in DRS' on-the-job training program with several DRS consumers, which led to gainful employment for those who successfully completed the training. Security America shares job openings with DRS, which increases opportunities to create a diverse workforce."

DRS, an agency of the West Virginia Department of Commerce, is responsible for the federal vocational rehabilitation program in West Virginia, which enables and empowers West Virginians with disabilities to work and to live independently. DRS helps people with disabilities, ages 14 and up, set work goals and develop career plans to overcome employment-related barriers so they can go to work or maintain current employment. DRS also assists West Virginia’s businesses and employers by being their primary employment resource to include or to retain people with disabilities in their workforce.
