DRS recognizes WVU Medicine in Morgantown as an exemplary employer
WVU Medicine in Morgantown is recognized by the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) as an exemplary employer and partner as part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month this October.
WVU Medicine has demonstrated excellence in its diverse hiring practices by creating an inclusive workplace, and DRS recognizes this organization for its positive contributions within our communities.
"When I began as the DRS Employment Services Manager in March 2020, WVU Medicine was one of the first employers I connected with on a statewide level. The DRS Employment Services Unit developed a strong partnership with Jessica Hall and Seth Nelson, who work in the WVU Medicine Talent Acquisition Unit. Through this partnership, we began holding quarterly meetings to address any updates from both organizations, as well as barriers that DRS job seekers may be having throughout the onboarding process. As a result of this open line of communication, DRS job seekers gain better guidance from the Employment Services Unit, and WVU receives more qualified job applicants. WVU Medicine also participated in the DRS Employer Spotlight series and provided clear guidance on how to apply for vacant positions. On behalf of DRS, I thank WVU Medicine for being an exemplary employer and partner with DRS throughout 2020-2021."
