DRS recognizes Highline Warren in Glen Dale as an Exemplary Employer

The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) recognized Highline Warren in Glen Dale as an exemplary employer and partner as part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month this October.
Highline Warren has demonstrated excellence in its diverse hiring practices by creating an inclusive workplace, and DRS recognizes this organization for its positive contributions within our communities.
"Highline Warren has been an excellent partner in providing employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The employer has been a cooperative partner in meeting job seekers’ accommodation needs and in helping to reduce job-related barriers. The organization is focused on developing a program to have more diversity and inclusiveness in its workforce. During the past year, DRS provided a three-day diversity and inclusion training to the organization's management team. The training included many aspects of working and interacting with individuals with a variety of disabilities and promoted the positive benefits of having a diverse workforce."

DRS, an agency of the West Virginia Department of Commerce, is responsible for the federal vocational rehabilitation program in West Virginia, which enables and empowers West Virginians with disabilities to work and to live independently. DRS helps people with disabilities, ages 14 and up, set work goals and develop career plans to overcome employment-related barriers so they can go to work or maintain current employment. DRS also assists West Virginia’s businesses and employers by being their primary employment resource to include or to retain people with disabilities in their workforce.
