The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is proud to recognize Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Area, Inc in Huntington, as an Employer Award recipient for their ongoing commitment to providing employment opportunities and support for individuals with disabilities.
Under the leadership of Alissa, CEO of Goodwill, the organization has demonstrated a strong dedication to creating an inclusive workforce. Goodwill has gone above and beyond by welcoming DRS job seekers into their organization and supporting them through Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) services, assessments, training, and job coaching, all provided onsite by Goodwill staff.
In addition, Goodwill has actively partnered with DRS through various Work Experience opportunities. These programs not only give job seekers valuable hands-on experience but also help them develop confidence and workplace skills that lead to long-term success.
What truly sets Goodwill apart is their genuine care for DRS job seekers. As Clinton Poston, who nominated Goodwill for this award, stated: “They do a wonderful job with our job seekers.” This simple but powerful statement reflects the impact Goodwill has had in building brighter futures for individuals seeking meaningful employment opportunities.
Through their collaboration with DRS, Goodwill continues to prove that inclusive hiring strengthens both the workforce and the community. Their efforts exemplify the spirit of partnership and the mission of helping every individual achieve their full potential.
