DRS requested comments be submitted in writing via email, fax, or mail.

Public Comment:

DRS received one written response during the public comment period.

Summary of Comment:

The commenter recommended that DRS ensure VR applicants and consumers are informed about Social Security’s Ticket to Work program in addition to benefits counseling.

DRS Response to Comment:

DRS appreciates the comment and agrees that benefits counseling is an important tool for agency staff to inform and assist consumers, especially those eligible for the Ticket to Work program. DRS works with and consults the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities and will continue to train DRS counselors and other staff to ensure they are able to provide this valuable information to consumers.
